Updates on the situation along the Cambodia-Thailand border regarding the case of the Thai military forces continued their armed aggression on Cambodia, in the 4th and 5th Military Region on December 19, 2025 which enters the 13th day: The Thai side has continuously violated the ceasefire and the “Joint Declaration signed by the Prime Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand” on October 26, 2025. 1. The frontline situation at the 4th Military Region in Oddar Meanchey province: The Thai military continued its attack on Cambodia: From 05:00 p.m. on December 18 until 07:00 a.m. on December 19, 2025: – From 08:00 p.m. on December 18, 2025 until 05:00 a.m. on December 19, 2025, the Thai military fired artillery shells into the areas of Tamone Temple and Damnak Sdech. The situation in other areas remains calm, but our forces continue to monitor closely and remain highly vigilant. 2. The frontline situation at the 5th Military Region in Banteay Meanchey and Pursat provinces: The Thai military continued its attack on Cambodia: From 05:00 p.m. on December 18 until 09:00 a.m. on December 19, 2025: On December 18, 2025 – At 05:28 p.m., the Thai military continued to use drones to drop bombs in the area of Thmar Da. On December 19, 2025 – At 04:54 a.m., the Thai military fired into the area of O’ Phlok Damrei. – At 05:41 a.m., the Thai military fired artillery from naval warship into the area of Thmar Da. – At 06:01 a.m., the Thai military fired artillery shells into the area of Prey Chan village. – At 06:54 a.m., the Thai military deployed large drones violating Cambodian airspace in the area of Thmar Da commune. – At 07:42 am, the Thai military sprayed toxic gas into the area of Chok Chey village, Banteay Meanchey Province. – At 08:48 am, the Thai military sprayed toxic gas into the area of Chok Chey village, Banteay Meanchey Province. The situation in other areas remains calm, but our forces continue to monitor closely and remain highly vigilant. The Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia wishes to reiterate that “Cambodia’s rights to self-defence is solely targeted at the Thai military targets and has never targeted at civilian areas”. Conversely, the Thai side has deliberately attacked locations where Cambodian civilians reside, resulted in the deaths of 18 (including 1 infant) and injuries to 79 innocent Cambodian civilians, as of 06:00 p.m., December 18, 2025.
