Updates on the situation along the Cambodia-Thailand border regarding the case of the Thai military forces continued their armed aggression on Cambodia, in the 4th and 5th Military Regions on December 23, 2025 which enters the 17th day: The Thai side has continuously violated the ceasefire and the “Joint Declaration signed by the Prime Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand” on October 26, 2025. 1. The frontline situation at the 4th Military Region in the provinces of Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear provinces: The Thai military continues its attacks to invade Cambodia’s sovereign territory: From 12:00 am until 8:00 am on December 23, 2025. – From 12:00 am until 5:39 am, the Thai military fired artillery shells along with tanks in the area of Tamone temple. – From 4:00 am until now, the Thai military fired artillery shells into the areas of Preah Vihear Temple and Ta Thav. – At 5:30 am, the Thai military fired artillery shells into the area of Tamone Temple. The situation in some areas is still under the Thai Military’s armed aggression on Cambodian sovereignty, but our forces continue to fight the aggressor fiercely and monitor the situation closely and remain highly vigilant. 2.The frontline situation at the 5th Military Region in Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, and Pursat provinces: The Thai military continued its attack on Cambodia’s sovereign territory: From 5:25 pm on December 22 to 8:01 am on December 23, 2025: On December 22, 2025 – At 5:25pm, the Thai military continued to fire shells into densely populated innocent civilian residential areas in O’ Russey district, Poitpet Municipality. – At 8:59pm, the Thai military fired 2 rounds of flare guns into the area of Phsar Kandal district, Poipet Municipality (Street 58), Banteay Meanchey province.
